| Frequent Flyer Depot matches prospective buyers and sellers of frequent flyer miles, travel awards and mileage certificates.
To buy/sell your miles you must first call, email, or fax us the type and amount of miles you want to buy/sell. We will contact you for confirmation within two (2) business hours.
Once a seller is matched with a buyer, the seller must take appropriate action, e.g. make the reservations or order a ticket (which takes 1 to 21 business days).
Frequent Flyer Depot then verifies with the buyer if he/she wishes to continue. If the buyer declines, then Frequent Flyer Depot halts all negotiations and ends the transaction before the ticket is ordered.
If the buyer wishes to proceed, then he/she wires the amount into our brokerage account. Frequent Flyer Depot will hold the money until either of the following occurs:
- receipt of email correspondence with an E-ticket number, or
- receipt of hardcopy ticket via next-day or overnight shipping
The buyer must contact us within a reasonable timeframe (24 hrs.) to verify receipt of E-ticket or hardcopy ticket. Frequent Flyer Depot will then release the funds to the seller. All monies minus fees will be immediately transferred into the seller's account via wire transfer. If Frequent Flyer Depot does not receive timely verification from the buyer, we will automatically release the funds to the seller. No refunds will be honored after this stage of the transaction. |
